Divorce Lawyer: Ways of Legal Representation

Can you carry the entire burden if some unlawful actions will be taken against you by your spouse? It would be difficult for you to negotiate when you are emotionally and mentally abused.
You are already suffering because of the chaotic relationship with your husband or wife. Why suffer more dealing with the legal matters of your divorce when you can lessen the burden with the help of a divorce lawyer. With a lawyer by your side, your rights and interests will be taken care of.
Yet, there are different types of legal representation a lawyer can give you. Check out the following:
Full-Scope Divorce Lawyer
This type of legal representation requires your hired lawyer or law firm to manage your divorce case from start to finish, including all issues and conflicts that may occur in between. It is part of their job to gather and prepare all paperwork and divorce forms. They handle all negotiations and meetings with your spouse and his/her lawyer. It is also their duty to meet deadlines, filings, research, investigation and communication. And one major role they play is appear during a trial for hearings.
This literally means handing over everything that concerns your case. Yet, don’t forget that your presence is still highly needed in case of important questions and decision-making.
Limited-Scope Divorce Lawyer
Unlike a full-scope lawyer, a limited-scope lawyer only handles one or more issue of a divorce case but not all. Say for example, the coverage of the hired lawyer is limited only to manage child custody or maybe just the alimony aspect. Of course, he/she is restricted to process divorce papers. Instead a limited-scope lawyer should work on financial support which may include finding out the duration of the marriage, the needs of each party, financial resources and liabilities of both parties, responsibility of either spouse for children, and all sources of income available to either party.
Just be aware that when you hire a limited-scope lawyer, you are responsible to handle other issues of your divorce case.
Consulting Divorce Lawyer
How does a consulting lawyer different from full-scope and limited-scope lawyer? Well, they handle designated works behind the scenes. It is part of their duty to give you general advice on what action you should take next as well as provide answers to your questions about alimony, child custody, etc. They also draft paperwork and document for your signature, do research, or provide consultation during mediation or when you need to handle simple court hearing.
A consulting divorce lawyer does not go to court with you. Generally, they are a wise choice if you are only facing a simple type of divorce case.
You don’t have to go through your divorce problems alone. Hire a good lawyer who can give full time and attention to your case and one who makes sure that every work is done properly and honestly.
